Research Methods module
The compulsory, non-assessed Research Methods module will introduce you to resources for research at Queen Mary and more generally in London. Its teaching is shared with the Institute of Historical Studies, and it will equip you with essential research skills and a thorough knowledge of research methodologies and resources. The course includes training in electronic resources and a guided introduction to a range of London-based resources for Humanities research, especially archives, libraries, museums and galleries. The skills provided in this module are vital for every historian and will be a very useful preparation for the dissertation and for a PhD application.
